Freja design, research, and write across the field of graphic design, hybrid platforms and media studies. She remote co-directs the collaborative media - and graphic design platform and studio fanfare. The structure of fanfare is operated through an adaptive organizational format, resulting in a collaborative network across a diverse set of people, peers, institutions, and platforms. fanfare facilitate creative solutions and focus on conditions and tools for contemporary communication.

Through annual chapters fanfare initiate the network hybrid fanfare inc.. With a modular programme the project measure and reacts to adaptive conditions of creative work and network. With a collaborative approach, fanfare inc. embraces several points of view, through conversations, contributions, and traveling formats. fanfare inc. has been presented in various contexts including the Biennial for Graphic design in BRNO, Chaumont Design Festival, Libros Mutantes, Manifesta Biennial in Palermo, and ALT_CPH.

With focus on archives and practices of collections connected to printed matter Freja design and unfold the research initiative into archive behavior of printed matter, Chives Archives, together with writer Celina Yavelow. On the side she co-run the occasional conversation programme, tetatet, with writer and researcher Charlie Clemoes.

From 2015 and onwards, Freja has conducted workshops, mentor programmes, and presentations at IED, Madrid, Eindhoven Design Academie, Gerrit Rietveld Academie, and the Sandberg Instituut, Amsterdam. Currently she is involved with the Information Technology University in Copenhagen, as well as the Media Research master programme for Digital Culture at the University of Amsterdam.
